QUICK ANSWER
A screen image or colour code is a useful starting point, but it cannot show exactly how a shade looks on PU, canvas, terry fabric, lining and embroidery thread. Specify the target shade, then approve a physical swatch and a finished bag sample before releasing bulk production.
Direct answer: approve a physical reference for each material
A screen image or colour code is a useful starting point, but it cannot show exactly how a shade looks on PU, canvas, terry fabric, lining and embroidery thread. Specify the target shade, then approve a physical swatch and a finished bag sample before releasing bulk production.
Define the colour brief before requesting a quote
Send a colour code or physical reference, the intended material and finish, and the quantity per colour. Explain whether the outer body, lining, zipper tape, puller, stitching and logo should match or deliberately contrast.
Expect different materials to reflect colour differently
Matte PU, woven canvas and looped terry can appear different even when the target shade is similar. Texture, sheen, pile direction and lighting affect perception. Review all proposed components together under consistent neutral light rather than approving isolated screen photographs.
Check the logo and components as a set
Place embroidery thread, printed artwork or a debossed logo next to the outer material. Check zipper tape, hardware and lining with the finished sample. If a precise match across materials is impractical, approve an intentional tonal or contrasting combination.
Record the approved sample and permitted variation
Label the signed-off physical sample with material, colour reference, component colours, logo artwork, dimensions and approval date. Agree how production will be compared with it and who can approve substitutions. A digital mock-up is not a production colour standard.
Plan colour splits and repeat orders early
List the quantity of each colour and whether the lining, zipper and logo change too. Component supplier minimums and pricing may depend on the actual split, so ask for a quote for your combination. Retain an approved sample for checking repeat orders.
What to include in the first RFQ
Send the closest bag reference, intended contents, dimensions, material, colour reference, colour split, logo artwork and method, estimated quantity and packing. Compare materials and use the sample checklist before sending your brief through the quote form.
Ready to discuss your project?
Send a reference image, estimated quantity and target delivery date. We will review the practical development route before quotation.
