1. Brief and feasibility review
The first review covers product use, dimensions, construction, material, lining, colour, logo, quantity, packing, destination and target timing. A useful quotation identifies assumptions and exclusions instead of relying on a photograph alone.
2. Material and sample development
Available material, colour, zipper, hardware, lining, logo and packaging directions are aligned before sampling. A physical sample is used to review fit, appearance, function and workmanship. Final details remain subject to the approved sample.
3. Written production approval
Before bulk production, confirm dimensions, approved materials and colour references, components, logo artwork and position, workmanship points, packing method and order quantity. Any changes after approval may affect cost and timing.
4. Production, inspection and export packing
Production follows the approved reference and confirmed order specification. Checks focus on relevant construction, appearance, function, quantity and packing. FOB or EXW scope is recorded in the quotation and order documents.
COMMON BUYER QUESTIONS
Answers for this sourcing route
What is the difference between OEM and ODM bags?
OEM normally begins with the buyer's design or specification. ODM may begin with an existing construction adapted through materials, colours, branding and functional changes. Both routes require an approved specification.
When does bulk lead time begin?
Typical bulk timing is counted after sample approval, material and order details are confirmed, and the required deposit is received.
What makes a quotation more accurate?
Provide product use, dimensions, material, lining, components, logo artwork, quantity, packaging, destination and target timing. Mark unknown items for sample development.
How is quality controlled?
The approved sample and written specification form the production reference. Relevant material, dimensions, construction, function, branding, quantity and packing are checked against confirmed requirements.
