QUICK ANSWER
A skincare gift-with-purchase cosmetic bag should be developed around the actual products placed inside it. External bag dimensions alone cannot confirm fit: the usable interior, zipper opening, bottle caps and final arrangement all affect whether the set can be packed and removed comfortably.

SAMPLE ACCEPTANCE CHECKLIST
Confirm these points before bulk production.
- Confirm the current specification and approval references.
- Review the finished sample against your intended use.
- Record any changes before bulk production.
Start with a complete product list
Provide the dimensions of each bottle, tube, jar and carton in the set. Measure the tallest point, including pumps and caps, and the widest point of each container. If the cosmetics remain in retail cartons, use the carton dimensions rather than the bottle dimensions.
Tell the supplier whether all products must fit at once and whether they should stand upright or lie flat. A photograph of the complete set beside a ruler is helpful, but physical products or accurate dimension drawings provide a better basis for checking fit.
Separate external size from usable capacity
Seams, lining, padding and curved corners reduce the usable space inside a bag. A soft pouch may expand around its contents, while a structured vanity case offers a more defined shape. Neither should be selected only by its outside measurements.
Ask the supplier to state how finished dimensions are measured and agree which dimensions matter most. Do not add an arbitrary allowance to a bottle measurement and assume the complete set will fit. Confirm the arrangement on a sample.
Check the opening as well as the interior
A bag can have enough internal volume yet still be difficult to pack. A narrow opening may prevent a wide jar or boxed product from passing through comfortably. Check that the largest item enters and leaves without excessive force and that the zipper closes without pressing against caps or cartons.
If the brand team assembles the kits separately, review the packing sequence with that team. Include any insert card, tissue or protective wrapping during the trial.
Approve the complete beauty set
Review the sample with every intended item inside. Check the appearance when closed, access to the products, base stability and pressure on the zipper. Photograph the approved arrangement so the packing team has a reference.
If the cosmetic packaging changes later, repeat the fit check before ordering more bags. Even a different pump or carton can affect the approved layout.
Can one bag work for several gift sets?
Possibly, but test every set. Approving the largest set alone may overlook how a smaller set moves inside the bag or how it looks when presented. Compare the benefit of a common bag with the fit and presentation required for each promotion.
