CUSTOM BAG BUYER GUIDE

How to Source Custom EVA Cases for Electronics and Equipment

A buyer guide to planning EVA protective cases, foam inserts, shells, tooling, branding and sampling for electronics and equipment.

Start with the protected item

Send product dimensions, weight, photos and a list of accessories. For sensitive electronics, explain where protection, clearance, cable storage and access are most important.

Choose the right internal retention

Die-cut foam, CNC-cut foam, moulded trays, elastic straps, mesh pockets and dividers offer different levels of protection and presentation. The best choice depends on the product shape, order quantity and target price.

Define the shell and opening

Confirm case dimensions, shell profile, zipper opening, handle position, hinge or zip construction and exterior cover material. A case that looks compact may not provide the needed clearance once lining and foam are included.

Plan custom branding early

Embossed logos, printed logos, rubber patches, metal badges, zipper pulls and custom colour matching can change tooling or minimum requirements. Include logo artwork before the sample route is confirmed.

Clarify tooling and ownership

Custom EVA shell shapes, moulded trays and metal logo parts can involve one-time tooling. Ask which costs are recurring, who owns the tools and how future revisions will be handled.

Use sampling to test real fit

Place the actual equipment, chargers and accessories in the sample. Check that the lid closes without pressure, cables do not interfere with the zipper and every item remains stable during handling.

Confirm production and packing

Before bulk production, approve the finished case, foam layout, logo, colour, packing method and carton quantity. This provides a clear reference for repeat orders and inspection.
